NOTE: MUST BE OPEN TO OVERNIGHT SHIFT
Primary Purpose:
The primary role of this position is to support Global Trading customer's market trading activity. This position will be responsible for supporting Global trading during European and Asian trading sessions. Broker will act as an intermediary between E*TRADE front end systems and Order Execution Systems as well as assisting in security master reconciliation and resolution. Will also work on special trading projects and monitor system performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and process orders entered during Global Market Hours
- Review and process orders exceeding principal limits for Global Markets Trading
- Review and resolve trading inquiries for Global Markets Trading
- Serve in temporary leadership role during absence of supervisor and or manager
- Assist trading supervisor with daily duties:
- Provide supervisor with input related to process improvement
- Monitor and assist associates with their production levels
- Monitor and evaluate system performance
- Handle inbound phone customer service inquiries and make outbound market center calls as needed
- Handle and resolve intradepartmental escalations utilizing independent decision making processes
- Provide technical expertise relating to E*Trade's trading systems
- Reconcile and audit Global Trading error accounts
- Identify and target areas in need of improvement and create workable solutions to problems
- Develop training materials and coordinate programs as needed on an ongoing basis
- Ability to communicate and work with various departments to improve procedures and minimize risk to the firm

- Demonstrated initiative in gaining knowledge and willingness to participate in departmental projects as assigned
- Extensive knowledge of the securities industry, including specific knowledge in the areas of margins and account analysis, order entry and execution, reorganizations and P&S
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Excellent judgment and problem solving skills required to handle and resolve high risk items
- Complete Understanding of E*Trade's policies and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of systems required to make changes as needed
- Knowledge and skill pertaining to review and reporting of trades:
- Pending Trades
- Split and Dividend Adjustments
- Open Order Difference
- Market Outs
- Manual Booking of Trades into the ADP BPS system
- Others as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education or training equal to: BA/BS preferably in Business administration, Finance or related field.
- Must have NASD series 7 and 63 licenses: 4 and 24
- Ability to work flexible shift assignments to support Order Management Team
