Job Description We are seeking an individual to promote and deliver a full range of financial products and services, advise and assist members with accounts, loans and vendor products and services, and provide personalized caring service to members and coworkers. Determines membership eligibility and open new accounts. Performs account servicing and research activities on existing accounts to include ownership changes, legal processing and account maintenance functions. In addition, the individual will review consumer loan applications for accuracy and completeness, identify members’ product needs, evaluate and verify income documentation and obtains additional information as required. May advise members on and originate real estate loans. Additionally, this position requires funding of consumer loans for members.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Training:
Strong sales presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Skill and ability to perform financial transactions with accuracy and minimal or no errors in daily work. Ability to identify and evaluate members’ needs in order to achieve and maintain the established cross-sell ratios for credit union products and services. General knowledge and understanding of financial or credit union products and services.
Qualifications:
The experience as acquired from a high school diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience in a financial institution performing the full range of new account and/or loan functions OR two (2) years of full-time sales experience in a retail environment to include cash handling; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
