Job Description
Administration – Global Sourcing Manager
We are seeking a proven, hands-on professional to assist in driving the Liquidnet sourcing function. This role will entail overseeing our vendor relations, contract management and purchasing programs. This professional will also manage in accordance with relevant standards and practices for all international Liquidnet locations.
Responsibilities
* Manage tactical purchasing and fact-based, contract negotiations.
* Execute in accordance with Strategic Sourcing guidelines (Opportunity Identification, Baseline, RFP Build and Issue, Bid Analysis, Negotiations, etc.).
* Manage agreements with Liquidnet’s suppliers of hardware, software, information and computer services as well as those related to office facilities, (i.e. leases, maintenance and infrastructure) construction and renovation services.
* Maintain broad oversight of team member interaction with resources within a matrix organization.
* Establish and maintain vendor relationships.
* Contribute to thought leadership related to departmental structuring and engage in light process mapping.
* Train and mentor team members.
* Serve as departmental ambassador.
Qualifications
* BS or BA from an accredited university (advanced degree a plus – e.g., MBA or JD).
* 5-7 years of sourcing experience with progressive responsibility.
* Familiarity with traditional sourcing tools required (e.g. spend analysis, contract management, etc.)
* Must possess knowledge of business terms in contracts and ability to tailor to business situations (Liquidnet has a separate legal department for legal review).
* Ability to take project from concept to completion with little to no oversight a must.
* Knowledge of SAP/Source to Pay preferred.
* Management consulting experience a plus.
* IT & Networking category experience a plus.
