Job Description
Marketing - Corporate Communications Lead We are looking for an experienced, creative and highly organized professional to lead the global communications function for Liquidnet. This highly visible position is the primary driver behind the company’s public relations, internal and external communications, messaging, reputation management and corporate advertising strategy. The Corporate Communication lead will leverage his/her knowledge of our industry, the communications discipline and strategic planning skills to assure that Liquidnet is effectively positioned with the internal and external constituencies that are meaningful to the company’s success. This individual will report directly to the global head of marketing and communications, and work closely with the company’s senior leadership, including the CEO. Responsibilities * Develop and implement proactive communications plan aligned with Liquidnet’s corporate business goals and objectives * Lead the development and implementation of effective communications programs, including competitive positioning, thought leadership and other corporate initiatives * Counsel senior leadership on effective communications strategies * Directly supervise team of three to five communications professionals * Manage internal communications with Liquidnet’s global employee base * Manage communications with Liquidnet’s global Member base * Oversee company’s corporate advertising strategy Requirements * Minimum 15 years experience in a corporate communications department or public relations agency. * Successful track record in corporate communications with a high level of expertise in the financial services industry, especially in the area of trading, exchanges or broker/dealer issues. * Proven track record defining, implementing and measuring strategic communications strategies that support revenue growth and increase market share. * Ability to mentor staff with proven tactics and best practices. * Previous experience in managing a communications team or department. * Previous experience in managing global public relations activities, including media and analyst relations, public affairs and crisis communications. * Exceptional listening and communications skills; ability to communicate creatively with high degree of precision, accuracy and engagement, both verbal and written. * Ability to explain complex concepts in plain language. * Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines. * Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required. * Sense of humor.
