Job Description
Chief Financial Officer Company: Keen Footwear State: Oregon Job Description: Key Responsibilities: • Management o Has overall responsibility for the Accounting, Finance and Credit Departments. Controller and Credit Manager report to CFO. • Financial Reporting and Budget o Prepares financial statements o Presents financials to the Board of Directors for review and discussion o Oversees budget in relation to budgetary goals o Provides consultation and direction to Sr. Management on meeting budget goals o Works with Sr. Management to prepare annual departmental budgets • Auditing o Oversees inventory, collateral and fiscal year audits, including foreign entities (Canada and Europe) o Directs staff in the preparation of financial materials for audits o Maintains an on-going, positive relationship with auditors o Responds to auditors and audit reports • Banking o Oversees all banking activities o Maintains a positive banking relationship o Develops foreign exchange process for overseas business • Legal and Insurance o Works with outside law firms to identify and address any patent or trademark issues o Maintains a consultative relationship with outside counsel for other general legal matters o Oversees property and casualty insurance coverage  Credit o Oversees credit department o Manages Credit Manager o Works in coordination with Credit Manager to set AR goals to meet business objectives  Subsidiaries (Canada and Europe) o Establishes KEEN legal entities abroad with the assistance of local legal counsel. o Directs financial operations of international KEEN subsidiaries o Consolidates KEEN financials globally to determine overall (global) company performance Leadership/Cultural Responsibilities:  Build a positive team environment and foster collaboration  Foster innovation, creativity and problem solving  Maintain a high level of personal accountability and integrity  Embrace KEEN’s values in an authentic manner  Develop a clear vision for the team that helps them achieve Company goals in a manner consistent with KEEN values  Focus on team performance and develop and mentor team members to meet the challenges of their role.  Motivate and inspire your team through accessibility, empowerment, regular communication, and recognizing and celebrating successes  Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties Knowledge/Skills Required: • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major; addition of MBA preferred • CPA or CMA certification preferred. • 10+ of CFO or international controlling experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Superior proficiency in the use accounting and finance related software (Excel, Access, etc.) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical Requirements and Conditions: Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability write, use the computer and use the telephone. Office environment is moderately noisy.
